The Monthly meeting for the Horry County S.C. Chapter will be Friday, Jan 29, 2010 at the Socastee Library, at 7PM. We will have a Special Speaker, Mr. Robert Rabbon, head of the Horry COunty Republican party.
All citizens and media are invited and urged to attend.

As most of you know its the start of the Oct Muster. I must ask if you are planning to make the trip out to TX or AZ I ask you call or e-mail Jim Barnes in TX or Carmen Mercer in AZ. That way you will have a good idea of how things are going and to also to be awear if any changes have been made. Good luck and stay safe.

Just realized that I might not have forwarded these photos. The first 2 are 2006 West Texas/ElPaso/Panhandle Chapter efforts. The second 2 are from 2008 at the Ft Worth and Tyler Gun Shows, our first efforts. El Paso, really shows what can be done, if the time is spent in preparation.

Polk County Florida Agress to use E-Verify

Great News from Florida
When I left the meeting I was not sure I had heard it right or not. So after getting back home for the evening I replayed the Polk County BoCC meeting. And yes it was clear Polk County has agreed to start using the E-Verify program. On Friday it was backed up by an e-mail to the County Manger. In the e-mail he confirmed that Polk County is using the program. And are adding an document to the Contractor bidding package. In it they have to state that by law they will not be working illegal aliens on these work sites.

Hello, I just thought I would give you and update on our e-verify program. The Sheriff’s Office started using the e-verify program approximately four months ago. Every applicant is screened via this system. Our staff says that it is easy and quick and is just like any other checks we do. It adds no more than a couple of minutes to our system of background checks.
